What is Classical Udvartana?
Udvartana (उद्वर्तन) is a specialized Ayurvedic dry or paste-based friction therapy. Specialized astringent and thermogenic herbal powders (Triphala, Musta, Kola, Kulattha, Lodhra) are vigorously massaged over the body in an upward direction (opposite to the direction of hair follicles - Pratiloma Gati).
